Náplň práce

A career in our Actuarial Services will provide you with the opportunity to contribute general insurance, actuarial advice and consulting services to clients such as insurers, banks, regulators, and third party administrators.

You’ll provide advice covering new IFRS 17 standard, solvency II, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control, financial and cash flows modelling, underwriting, new legislation, and the efficiency of claims or reporting processes.

Simply put, you might help analyse the impact that new regulation will have on an insurance companies you could be reviewing businesses’ projections and making sure they have adequate reserves and generally solve the important, mainly actuarial problems for our clients.

Our team helps insurers address new financial reporting requirements by assessing the financial and business impacts of regulations, building implementation plans, and implementing relevant requirements with focus on actuarial tasks.

As a Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Directors and above
- Be involved in the financial management of clients
- Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
- Develop project strategies to solve complex technical and actuarial challenges for our clients
- Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
- Shape and deliver projects to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and our own quality criteria
- Train, coach, and supervise team members
- Continue to develop internal relationships and developing our PwC brand

Požiadavky na zamestnanca

- 5 years of experience in insurance or related area
- Experience with leading a team
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must, programming languages (SAS, R, SQL...) is an advantage
- Ability to communicate clearly in English. German is an advantage
- Experience with actuarial software such as Prophet, MoSes is an advantage
- Very good actuarial and management skills, flexibility, planning and organizing skills
- Willingness to learn and grow professionally and willingness to travel
